I chose to use Oracle DB 19c for the purpose of these tutorials because Oracle Linux 8.5 had some preconfigured packages that made the installation easier to do. The tutorials in this section are related to the installation and setup of an Oracle DB 19c in this context:
- How to install Oracle DB 19c in Oracle Linux 8.5 VM
- How to install the Oracle 19c sample database
- How to autostart the ORCLCDB sample DB on Oracle Linux 8.5
- How to connect to and automatically open the ORCLPDB1 Oracle 19c Pluggable database
- How to move Oracle DB files to a new location
- How to create an Oracle 19c DB user profile to turn off password expiration
- How to create a new pluggable database (PDB)
- How to unlock an Oracle DB account without changing its password
